Pray Without Ceasing = Pray without ceasing. Instead of setting aside time to talk to God, have ongoing, continual conversations with God—not formal, not long, not complicated, just from your heart—where you are, what you're thinking, what you're seeing, and what you're encountering at that moment.

Seek Happiness, Find Disappointment; Seek Value, Find Happiness

Happiness Is an Inside Job
Happiness cannot be acquired. Often, people set out to pursue happiness in a spouse, a friend, a job, a family, a home, a title or a whole lot of money. But happiness isn’t “out there.” Happiness starts inside of you. It is a gift you can give to yourself.

Contentment
A state of mind in which one's desires are confined to his lot whatever it may be (1Ti_6:6; 2Co_9:8). It is opposed to envy (Jas_3:16), avarice (Heb_13:5), ambition (Pro_13:10), anxiety (Mat_6:25, Mat_6:34), and repining (1Co_10:10). It arises from the inward disposition, and is the offspring of humility, and of an intelligent consideration of the rectitude and benignity of divine providence (Psa_96:1, Psa_96:2; 145), the greatness of the divine promises (2Pe_1:4), and our own unworthiness (Gen_32:10); as well as from the view the gospel opens up to us of rest and peace hereafter (Rom_5:2).

Contentment
CONTENTMENT, n.
1. Content; a resting or satisfaction of mind without disquiet; acquiescence.
Contentment, without external honor, is humility.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Tim 6.
2. Gratification.
At Paris the prince spent a day, to give his mind some contentment.

  • The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

And when half of the people get the idea they don't have to work because the other half's going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebody's going to get what I work for. That, dear friend, is about the end of any nation. --Adrian Rogers
