Reflection Quotes

Quotes About Reflection

  • Reflect upon your blessings, of which everyone has plenty, not on your past misfortunes, of which everyone has some. --CHARLES DICKENS
  • 3 methods to learn wisdom: 1 reflection, which is noblest; 2 imitation, which is easiest; & 3 experience, which is the bitterest. --Confucius

There is a reflection on what was really said to us, what was really meant by the remarks, and, yes, perhaps some passage of thought between that person and ourselves. --The Amazing Kreskin
  • What we have learned from others becomes our own reflection. --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Experience is Not the Best Teacher
Turn Experience Into Insight = Spending time in reflection is one of the essentials to personal growth. Reflection turns experience into insight. Experience in itself doesn’t lead to growth. In every experience ask yourself, “What did I love, and what did I learn?” … Pull back, reflect, and your takeaways will lead to growth. It takes intentional discipline to consistently reflect and grow from your life experiences.

Reflect and Think = Think daily to apply what you learn in life. Reflection turns experience into insight. By spending time thinking and reflecting on what you learn and experience, you can extract from that experience and reflect on your personal growth.

Impact Others By Keeping it Simple - THE LAW OF SIMPLICITY
Less Is More= Communicators take something complicated and make it simple. This means they get to the point before people ask what the point is, and they use repetition. When you communicate with others ask yourself, “What do you want people to know?” and “What do you want them to do?” The goal is for the audience to understand and be able to apply the concepts you are teaching. Keep your message simple.

Don't Add To The Problem = Don't add to the problem, solve it, and simplify it. Keep your problems very simple, break them down into manageable parts, and deal with the one you have in the moment before moving on to the next one.

Keep it Simple = When things get complicated, people tend to tune out. If you are looking to capture and hold the attention of an audience, complexity is not the way to go. Great leaders aim to simplify.

Impressing is Not Influencing | MWM

Choose Kindness = We all want to win and to be right, but we don’t always need to be in competition with others. We don’t influence others by impressing them about our own greatness, but by impressing upon them how wonderful they are. If you have the choice to be right or the choice to be kind, choose to be #kind.

Help Others Win = We all want to win, but most people do not win on a consistent basis. We don't want to continually lose our way to success, we need wins and victories under our belt to keep us going. Success is all about several wins and steps taken, and you step your way up to success. Do what you can to help people get little wins under their belt.

Who doesn’t want to win? We are experts at desiring to win. We all want to be winners so much so that we live by slogans that tell us if you’re not winning, you’re losing. But, sometimes, if you’re not winning, you’re simply not practicing. Everyone knows the saying, “Practice makes perfect.” But practice also makes winners. The formula to winning: Do the practice—do what you need to do to get to where you need to go. It’s really that simple.

Tim Tebow, like many of us, enjoys winning. He enjoys winning so much that he despises losing. Losing, for Tim, is painful. But Tim soon learned that he may have been wrong about what makes a winner. Is it a championship, a trophy or a well-known name? Or, is a winner made up of something much deeper, much more significant, impactful, purposeful and powerful?
