Don’t Go to Bed Angry | MWM
Anger Is A Choice = Don’t let the sun go down on your wrathAnger can be a destructive force in your life. It can lead to your emotions getting out of bounds. We need to control our anger. Anger is a destructive choice.

Why are people so divided and angry?

What Change is Born From
https://youtu.be/Qh04oZUuNSo
Have Hope For Change = John Maxwell begins his book, Change Your World, with the statement, “Hope has two daughters, anger and courage.” Anger at how things currently are, and courage to go make a difference. That is how we can change our world.
We need to be angry about the unfair, injustices of the world. The things that won’t improve unless we are angry enough to do something about them. We need courage to stand up, declare that we want to make a difference, and do something about the issues.
It is important to understand that before we can change our world, we have to change ourselves. Transformation doesn’t begin with others, it begins with yourself. The moment we make good decisions, embrace good values, and do our part to make a difference, we are able to help others make a difference also.

Control Your Emotions = Although it may be easy to get caught up in your emotions, don't get stuck in the anger hole! We are given a choice daily, do not allow anger to consume you and destroy the journey you are taking. Let go of what you cannot control and focus on what you can.

Inspiring Leaders

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe eloquently described the power and influence of inspiring leaders when he wrote: "I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal."
Have you considered how your mood, behaviors, and actions will influence others. Researchers Jack Zenger and Joe Folkman have studied inspiring leaders and marveled at their ability to create new attitudes and emotions in others.

Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Security and Assurance

"Your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well what you need and he will give it to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to."  Matthew 6:33 (LB)

"Your security is not in your bank account; your security is in the Lord. If God turns off one faucet, he can turn on another."

Many of us act like spiritual orphans. We forget that we have a heavenly Father who already knows what we need.  He's just waiting for us to ask.  He will provide.  Does God take care of little birds?  They don't worry. Human beings are the only things in all creation that worry. Everything else trusts the heavenly Father and creator to care for their needs.

"He gives food to those who trust Him.  He never forgets His promises." (Psalm 111:5 LB)

How much do you trust God?  Worry is really just a form of atheism.  Every time you worry, you're saying, "It all depends on me." That's just not in the Bible.

You must trust God with your life.  Today's verse says, "If you give him first place."  Why?  Because as long as you love anything more than God that thing or person or item will become a source of anxiety.

"Don't put your hope in wealth which is so uncertain. But put your hope in God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." (1 Timothy 6:17) You must always remember -- your security is not in your bank account; your security is in the Lord. If God turns off one faucet, he can turn on another.  If he turns off one job, he can turn on another.  You must seek the Lord.

The book of Romans says God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for you to pay for your salvation.  If God loves you enough to send His own son to die for you, don't you think He loves you enough to take care of your bills?  Don't you realize that any other problem is minor by comparison? He solved your biggest problem when he saved you. The bottom line is this:  Are you going to believe God to do what He says He will do?  And are you going to believe him enough to do what he tells you to do?

Overwhelm Quotes

The First Thing to Do When You're Overwhelmed | Mel Robbins

In this episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast, Kier Gaines shares the first thing to do when life feels like too much.

Kier Gaines is a therapist, speaker, and one of the most trusted voices helping people make sense of their emotions and relationships.

The first step? Pause.

Then tell yourself the truth: "I'm overwhelmed right now."

Overwhelm creates a powerful sense of urgency that makes everything feel like an emergency. But if everything is urgent, then nothing is.

You don't need to solve everything at once.

You don't need all the answers. You don't need to fix it all today.

You just need to slow it down enough to understand what's actually happening.

Because once you can catch your breath, you can start figuring out what support you need, what systems need to change, and what part of the situation actually deserves your attention.

Fear is the Story We Tell Ourselves | MWM
Don’t Let Fear Stop Your Growth = Fear can stop people from growing, but fear is not a reflection of reality or potential. What is real, the danger or the fear? Fear is a story we tell ourselves. We give it the meaning. Don’t allow fear to stop you from moving forward. Just because something feels wrong or gives you fear, doesn’t mean you can’t learn and grow.

Successful People Are Courageous, not Fearless
Stretch Outside Of Your Comfort Zone = "Fearless" is a myth. Instead, aim to be brave. People who succeed at the highest levels have the same amount of fear as everyone else, but they have learned to be courageous in the face of fear. Stretch out of your comfort zone and aim to be brave!

Starve your Fear = What we focus on, expands. Don't focus on fear, diminish it and put faith and positive emotions ahead of you. Remember, fear is temporary but not taking the chance, or not trying something new will live with you forever.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway
Teaching you ten ways to constructively face your fears.  A few key points from this lesson:
- Most fear is not based upon fact; it is based upon feeling
- Leaders should focus on things they can control, not things they can’t control
- Feed the right emotion and starve the wrong one
After John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede join to talk about helpful ways you can apply this lesson to your life and leadership.
