Who’s to Blame?
Taking responsibility is tough. No one wants to admit when they mess up or they’re wrong—it goes against all our natural instincts. But when you start to point fingers and play the blame game, know that you are likely not the only one playing—chances are, there are several fingers pointing back at you. It’s best to learn to take responsibility early on—the first time—so you can learn from your mistakes and grow, becoming that much more effective as a leader.

It’s Not Them, It’s You
Sometimes, when a person has a lot of problems with a lot of different people, the crux of the problem might very well be that person. When you’re looking at a problem, before you start the blame-game, take some time to reflect inward. How might you have contributed to the problem? Accept responsibility where it’s appropriate. Because if you are the “problem,” the only way to rid yourself of the same problems happening again and again, is to first fix the problem brewing within.
