Do Your People Bring You Bad News?
One natural tendency of leaders is to put forward our best selves. Like you said, we are not purposely trying to appear perfect, but we don't mind if others are impressed. It takes a secure leader to develop a culture of authenticity where everyone on the team, including the leader, is encouraged, and expected to be who they are. How can we ensure you have a culture of authenticity that promotes psychological safety for the team?

Effective Delegation is Empowerment
Empower Your People = The art of delegation involves effectively getting tasks off a leader's plate, while valuing the person you delegate to. Good delegation is when you give someone a task to do with ownership to do it, resources to complete it, and follow-up to hold them accountable. Delegate appropriately in a way that honors others. Be intentional about not just delegating tasks you don’t want to do, but instead, delegate the tasks that others can do better.

In order to be successful as a leader, ask for help! Prioritize what needs to be done and delegate what your team needs to do - trust them. Together you will succeed!

The victory wreath is won by him who does not stay down, but always gets up again, grasps the banner of faith and keeps on running in the assurance that Jesus is Victor. --Basilea Schlink
  • Friend, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. And what one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can't give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody. And when half of the people get the idea they don't have to work because the other half's going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebody's going to get what I work for. That, dear friend, is about the end of any nation. --Adrian Rogers
