So often we ponder the what if’s in our lives, and we fail to focus on the what have’s. For instance, you can ask, “What if I had done this differently?” or you can reflect, asking, “What have I learned?” Everyone makes mistakes. But rather than mourning what you have seemingly lost—and the resounding adversity and failure—you can celebrate what you have gained, in insight, wisdom and character. Don’t waste time wishing for a do-over; you don’t need to start over. Instead, start now!

MWM | EXCELLENCE
The Price Of Excellence = Excellence takes time. It's not compromising on the standard. Excellence is chasing the higher bar. It's the little things that get you noticed and push you to the top. Nothing says excellence like an unwavering commitment to the standard all the way down to the smallest of details. But are you willing to pay the price for the pursuit of excellence?

What Makes Charismatic Leaders Different | MWM
Do Everything With Excellence = Do everything with excellence. One of the things that sets people apart from others is excellence. Don't just try to meet expectations, exceed them. And when you exceed them, it's because you do everything with excellence—you have a high standard for yourself that extends to other people to help lift them up as well.

Practice + High Expectations = Mastery | MWM
Excel In All That You Do = A person that loves mastery loves to do things extremely well, and they will exceed expectations in everything they do. To become a person of mastery, don't try to master a lot of things immediately. Pick one thing that you can really do with excellence and go for it, practice it, have high expectations, and give it 100%. That level of mastery will pay off for you!

Practice + High Expectations = Mastery
https://youtu.be/dsQkTRU8-i4
Are You Motivated By Mastery? = In his book, The Leader’s Greatest Return, John Maxwell discusses what motivates people and how it is important to sit down with your team and learn what motivates them. Mastery is one of the 7 motivations he discusses. A person who is motivated by mastery loves to do things extremely well and exceed expectations. To become a person of mastery, don’t try to master everything, but focus on the one thing that would really benefit your life. When you discover that thing, practice every day, have high expectations, and give 100%.

Perfectionism is Rooted in Fear

Giving the Gift of “Your Best”

Chose Progress Over Perfection = So many of us struggle with perfectionism. It is rooted in fear and can lead to procrastination. Instead of being a perfectionist, focus on excellence—learning in the journey—the process of making something good and then great. Perfectionism is elusive, it is a state that you can never reach. If you choose excellence over perfectionism, you are choosing progress over perfection.

There is No Success Without Action | MWM
Success Requires Action = Application is an everyday essential for your personal growth. No matter how much you learn, reflect, write, or share, nothing happens without action. When you take action, you build traction, and attract people, places, things, opportunities, and resources that will help you succeed.

MWM | WHEN DIRECTION MEETS DISCIPLINE
Don’t wait—take action today = In his new book From Drift to Drive, Chris talks about the power of action—when direction meets discipline. Growth comes from taking consistent, committed action, even if it’s not perfect. Too often, people wait for clarity or courage. Don’t wait—take action today.

There is No Success Without Action
Success Requires Action = Application is an everyday essential for your personal growth. No matter how much you learn, reflect, write, or share, nothing happens without action. When you take action, you build traction, and attract people, places, things, opportunities, and resources that will help you succeed.

The Slightest Action is Worth More Than Every Last Word
Be Leaders Of Action = Action makes things happen. It is getting up and acting on what you believe, not relying on feelings, sentiments, or words. Isaiah 41 says, “they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength.” But it is important to understand that waiting doesn’t always mean to sit still … At a restaurant a waiter waits on the tables, but is very active. Waiting on the lord means to be active and busy as you allow God to work in your life. Our waiting today needs to be active service.

Take What You Have and Do Something With It
Activate Powerful, Positive Change = Inside a leader there is a propensity to do something, a passion to make something happen. Take what you have, and do something with it. To the person who has been given much, much is required. This means we need to activate and make the world a better place because everyone deserves to be led well.

Today’s Actions Lead to Tomorrow’s Results
Today’s Intentions Link To Tomorrow’s Successes = Our actions today link to our results tomorrow, and our results tomorrow link to our actions the next day. If you want results tomorrow, realize the link to today’s action. If you want results next year, realize the intentionality needed today. We are better because of links. What will your link be today for a better tomorrow?

The Greatest Success in Communication is Action - THE LAW OF RESULTS
Take Action! - The greatest success in communication is action. Good communicators want the audience to apply and multiply. They add value to leaders who multiply value in others. Have a plan for growth and take action. You need to take action in order to gain traction to move forward.

https://youtu.be/w08KV7CltCw
Act Your Way Into Greatness = Is there something you've been holding off on, but know you need to do? The more you wait, the longer it will take to happen. Great things will happen as soon as you take action.

Don't be a Benchwarmer

Don't be a Benchwarmer = There is no better time than now. Don't wait for life to pass you by, take action today! In order to make something happen, you must act on it.

Evaluate your daily actions.
Are they helping you achieve your goals or holding you back?
Make conscious choices to prioritize what truly matters.

James 1:15 NLT - 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
James 2:14, 21-22, 25 NLT - 14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don't show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? ... 21 Don't you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. ... 25 Rahab the prostitute is another example. How to Be A Leader That People Love To Follow

From Leader-Follower to Leader-Leader
In this episode, Chris Goede and Perry Holley explore the shift from a leader-follower dynamic to a leader-leader dynamic. They draw inspiration from Captain David Marquet's experience as captain of the USS Santa Fe, a nuclear submarine in the Navy. The discussion emphasizes the importance of cultivating a culture of leadership and creating an environment where team members think and act like leaders, regardless of their titles. They also delve into strategies for empowering and encouraging team members to embrace innovation and share their voices while fostering a mindset of continuous improvement. Throughout the conversation, they underscore the concept of leadership as influence, highlighting the need for leaders to develop and uplift individuals within their teams.

If things didn’t work out the first time, there was likely a reason why. And, if you don’t take the time to learn “the why,” improve and start over differently, then you are inevitably going to repeat the same mistakes. So, before you decide to start over, ask yourself these questions: What did you learn, and where and in what ways are you going to improve?

Take an Urgency Inventory | MWM
Urgency Can Be A Remarkable Gift = Urgency has helped many leaders to accomplish great things. A leader's ability to know when to sense urgency, create urgency, and urge others to have urgency is a remarkable gift of great effectiveness. The key is to know what is urgent and what is not.

A Word Full of Passion, Expression, and Direction
Passion, Expression, Direction, and Focus = Urgency is filled with passion, expression, and direction. The feeling of urgency we get when we realize the importance of our mission is one of the greatest motivators of success. Urgency leads us to prioritize quickly, and cross the finish line.

What is Urgent vs What is Significant
Choose The Meaningful Over The Urgent = Choose the meaningful over the urgent. The things that are meaningful are timeless and will matter not only now but in the future. Ask yourself with each decision, Is this Meaningful or is it a false urgency?

Victor Or Victim
Do you allow your outside circumstances to propel you forward, or do you develop motivation within yourself that you then bring to your outside circumstances? One will usually cause you to fall short of your goals, while the other will rarely end in defeat.

How Can a Leader Create and Maintain Urgency
Creating and maintaining urgency is an important aspect of leadership. Here are some ways to create and maintain urgency without causing stress.

Is the Urgent/NOT Important Quadrant Killing Productivity?
You have most likely heard of the Urgent and Important Matrix. It is officially known as the Eisenhower Matrix. The key to your productivity is not getting the most stuff done, but getting the right stuff done. And by “right stuff,” we mean your most important priorities.
But what are we to do with all those urgent tasks that have a funny way of sounding important. To be a high productivity leader you need a system to capture your inputs and determine your priorities.
