  • Love is vulnerability. Happiness is vulnerability. The risk of being vulnerable is the price of opening yourself to beauty and opportunity. Being vulnerable is not about showing the parts of you that are polished; it's about revealing the unpolished parts you would rather keep hidden from the world. Clearly we can no longer pattern our marriages after the people around us -- if we ever could. Not only does the world not know how to divorce-proof its marriages, it is well on the way to making broken relationships the norm! Dr. Fred Lowery

Can You Admit Problems Exist? | MWM
Authenticity Is The Hallmark of Resilience = Don't pretend, don’t defend. Authenticity is a hallmark of resilience. If you can be authentic and admit problems exist, you can conquer what you are willing to confront.

How Many Leaders You Know of Are Authentic? | MWM
Be Real And Honest = John Maxwell’s new book, High Road Leadership, discusses how high road leaders set themselves apart from people who travel the middle or low road. High road leaders are able to embrace authenticity. They admit mistakes, apologize, and are real and honest with others. Authenticity doesn't guarantee success, but lack of authenticity does guarantee failure.

The Starting Point of Authenticity

What Jamie Kern Lima Says About Authenticity
Be Real, Be honest, Be You = Being authentic doesn’t guarantee success, but if you lack authenticity it does guarantee failure. Authentic leaders—those who are real, honest, vulnerable, and open—foster confidence, and a sense of security and safety in those they lead. This is because others know that they understand who they are and are comfortable in their own skin. Authenticity is being the very best person you can be, while also being yourself.

Transparency Quotes

Quotes about Transparency

  • People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish motives. Do good anyway. Perfection Quotes

Quotes About Perfection
  • This life was not intended to be the place of our perfection, but the preparation for it. – Richard Baxter
  • Perfection is unattainable, but worth trying.
  • Perfection is the child of time. –Joseph Hall
  • Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. –Vince Lombardi

  • And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good. --JOHN STEINBECK
  • Perfection doesn't exist. –Andres Iniesta
  • Perfection is pure-fiction. –Janelle Jalbert
  • I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for; perfection is God's business. --MICHAEL J. FOX

Do People Really Want Perfect? | MWM
Progress Over Perfectionism = Being perfect or perfectionism is often viewed as the goal, but what people truly seek is authenticity—someone they can know, like, and trust. It's okay to be vulnerable and show the real you because progress, not perfection, is what truly matters. By embracing our imperfections and allowing others to see our true selves, we build trust and deepen connections.

Perfectionism is Rooted in Fear
Chose Progress Over Perfection = So many of us struggle with perfectionism. It is rooted in fear and can lead to procrastination. Instead of being a perfectionist, focus on excellence—learning in the journey—the process of making something good and then great. Perfectionism is elusive, it is a state that you can never reach. If you choose excellence over perfectionism, you are choosing progress over perfection.

Hebrews 12:2 [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love.
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Philippians 3:12 I do not say that I have already won the race or have already reached perfection. But I am pressing on, striving to lay hold of the prize for which also Christ has laid hold of me.
Job 37:16 (NLT) Do you understand how he moves the clouds with wonderful perfection and skill?
Hebrews 7:11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?
Ecclesiastes 7:20 ESV Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
Matthew 5:48 ESV You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Philippians 3:12-15 ESV Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.

Compassion in the Small Things | MWM
Compassion Is The Heart Of Leadership = The heart of leadership is compassion. Compassion is empathy in action. It's not just about feeling for someone's struggle, it's about doing something to support them in it. Compassion is in the small things, in the meaningful actions, where it shows you are paying attention to them. So, what is one practical way you can support someone and have compassion?

Do for Yourself What You Do for Others | MWM
Give Yourself Grace = Compassion is when you are kind and understanding towards yourself and others. When we practice self-compassion, it lowers our stress levels and helps us be more resilient and strong. Where in your life do you need to be more compassionate with yourself?

Help Carry Someone Else’s Load | MWM
Relate With Others = Empathy is figuring out a way to understand what another person is feeling, and it allows you to know what it is like to walk in their shoes. When you have empathy you can see into the soul of another’s struggle and relate with them. Be an empathetic leader, help the people around you carry their load.

The 3 Questions People Are Asking About You
Care More, Do More! = Compassionate people are quick to help. Their caring translates into actions. When people care, trust increases and communication improves. Make a commitment today to care a little more and do more for others.

How to Relieve Stress and Improve Persistence
Be A Friend To Yourself = Do you beat yourself up? Instead, treat yourself as kindly as you would treat a good friend if they were dealing with the same challenge or mistake. When we are compassionate towards ourselves, it lowers our stress levels, helps us persevere, and just feel better. Where have you been too hard on yourself?

Less of a Feeling = Look beyond yourself, focus on others. Put yourself into someone else's shoes and show them how much you care. Invest, connect, and make a difference in someones life today!

Do you care enough to be intentional about adding values to others? Every single day, find one person or multiple people to add value to. Don't let a day go by where you don't pour into someone else!

Jealousy is almost always rooted in insecurity. Whether we’re comparing ourselves to strangers on social media or feeling inferior to a new colleague, jealousy is an emotion that can trap us in a self-perpetuating cycle of discontent.
Once we recognize where our jealousy comes from — feeling self-conscious about our looks or sensing distance from a romantic partner, for instance — we can begin to address the real issues and take constructive steps toward handling our envy.
This may look like building our self-confidence or initiating vulnerable conversations with loved ones who might not always realize how their actions affect us. If we don’t make an effort to change our perspective or our actions, jealousy can continue to fester inside us, leading to increased alienation and frustration.
Perhaps one of the hardest things to remember is that jealousy is a natural human emotion, and it’s OK to feel this way from time to time. Judging ourselves for feeling envious only makes it more difficult to heal.
