This Must Come Before Influence | MWM
Learn What Matters To Other People = When you are a charismatic leader, you are a positive addition in the lives of others and you add value to those around you. To be a charismatic leader, you have to learn what matters to people before you can have influence on their life. Once you take an interest in a person to find out what really matters to them, you are going directly to the heart. And when you go to the heart, you connect very quickly with people.
In his newest book, The Charismatic Leader, John C. Maxwell shares 21 practical skills to help you connect authentically, communicate effectively, and lead with greater impact. Whether you lead a team, speak on stage, or mentor one-on-one—this book equips you to win hearts and move people.

We Are All in the People Business | MWM
Invest In Your People = Organizations must put people first. All industries are in the people business. It is important to prioritize the well-being, growth, and success of your team members to create an environment of trust, loyalty, and high performance. Understand your people and how you can support their growth.

Why No One Ever Climbed Mt. Everest Alone
Build Your Team = One of the 10 questions that John Maxwell discusses in his book, Put Your Dream To The Test, deals with people. It asks, “Have I included the people I need to achieve my dream?” One is too small of a number to achieve greatness. The size of your team has to be as high and big as the size of your dream. People will take you to where you want to go.

MWM | THE HIDDEN ACCELERATOR
Relationships Are The Hidden Accelerator To Success = In Chris' new book, From Drift to Drive, he discusses relationships—the hidden accelerator. Everything we do in life requires relationships. If you want to grow and go to the next level, you need people who are going to push you forward. Because of this, you need to be intentional about who gets your time and energy.

Be the Rising Tide | MWM
Lift Up Others = The goal in any relationship should be to make the other person feel more important. The relationships in our lives are gifts, and it is our responsibility to steward them. Lift up the people in your relationships, and make the relationships around you better.

Do You Add Value or Take it Away? | MWM
Connect With Others = Relationships—how we connect with others—are key in our success. Relationships have the power to resolve the negatives in our lives. Are you a plus or a minus? Do you add value to others or take value away? If you want to do well with people, add value to them. That is what relationships are all about.

https://youtu.be/SIzWgdGpzoY
Be Someone's Confidence = Many people we come across in life are insecure, and we want to help give them confidence. Being secure and confident in yourself is an asset in helping other people. When you can convey this to others, you can pass it on, and others can experience that security when they are around you, thus further growing and developing a solid relationship with them.

https://youtu.be/FJfdr6LXI_Y
Compliment Others = People want to feel special, so compliment them. In the first 30 seconds of meeting someone, say something positive about them, to them, and say it in front of their friends. Complimenting others is the best way to make others feel like they are special.

Be The Hope = People want a bright future, so give them hope. Whoever you come into contact with, you want to be able to express to them something positive that is in their life or that can happen in their life. We see what we look for—so help people look for hope.

https://youtu.be/Z453IOFOr6w
Listen and Understand = People need to be understood. There is nothing that makes someone feel understood like another person quietly listening to them. Listen to people, don't talk and interrupt them—let others speak and be heard. If you want to feel understood and known, find someone to listen to you.

https://youtu.be/2jgqCLw_X94
Don't Just Give Directions—Walk With Others = People lack direction—walk with them. If you want to help a person, you don't just give them directions, instead you take the journey with them. Exceed their expectations and walk along the journey with them.

Connect With Others = People are selfish, so if you really want to be able to help someone, you need to speak to their needs first. By listening to people and letting them talk it out, you can then talk to them—not correct them or change them—by letting them know you know how they feel. Connect with others on their ground.

How to Help Others Win Big | MWM
Help Others Win = We all want to win, but most people do not win on a consistent basis. We don't want to continually lose our way to success, we need wins and victories under our belt to keep us going. Success is all about several wins and steps taken, and you step your way up to success. Do what you can to help people get little wins under their belt.
How To Help Others Win Big = People want success, so help them win. Most people don't win on a consistent basis, and because of that their self image and confidence goes down. Things that they could do. they don't do. The person they could become, they don't become. You've got to get some wins under your belt. Success is all about several steps, and several wins.

Connect, Be Relatable = The ability to get along with people and relate to them is a key part in being successful. By learning to connect with people and relate with people your life will be able to reach its full potential. The world is full of people—the way you connect to them will determine how well they like you, and how much they are willing to help you. Connect, and be relatable.

https://youtu.be/9AJmuGxgrAk

When you relate well to others, they will allow you to lead them, to influence them and to have an impact on them. Start with relationships—love those you lead—and end up as a better leader.

John Maxwell’s Best Relationship Advice | MWM
When You Add Value To Others, They Value You = Relationships come down to one thing—you either add value to people, or you subtract value from them. We as people are naturally selfish, so we have to be intentional about our relationships and about adding value to others. When you add value to others, they value you! Determine today to be a charismatic leader and be a plus in people's lives.

Adding Value Elevates Everyone | MWM
Seek Ways To Add Value = Strive to add value to others on a daily basis. Great leaders consistently seek ways to add value to their team, organization, and community. It is about going beyond what is expected, and creating benefits that extend past your immediate responsibilities. As you consider your own skill set, think of how you can use those skills to add value to those around you?

Inspire Those Around You = Maxwell Leadership consists of people of value, who value others and add value to others. It is a daily discipline to value and add value to the people around us. When we value others, we increase the effectiveness of the people we serve. Today, go value someone and lift their intrinsic equity so they can become better and value someone else.

#1 Suggestion for Making an Impact
Practice Good Values = John Maxwell considers his book, Change Your World, to be in his top 5! Watch as John discusses the inspiration behind the book and the transformational experience where John and his team helped people in other countries engage and practice good values.
When people learn to live good values they become more valuable to themselves and others. Change Your World is a life-changing, transformational book.

Sew Seeds of Value, Reap Rewards - THE LAW OF ADDING VALUE
Sow Seeds, Add Value, and Make The Effort = People may forget what you say, but they will never forget how you made them feel. When you add value to people, they feel it. It is essential to focus on sowing seeds, not reaping the harvest. Don’t wait for something good to happen to you … Instead, sow seeds, add value, and make the effort.

Zig Ziglar’s Advice for Getting What You Want
https://youtu.be/5TatWK56MEg
Help Others To Add Value = If you help other people get what they want first, then they will help you. By helping others first, you add value to them. If you add value to people, you'll get value returned in your life.
Help Others First
How To Add Value To Others To Get What You Want = If you help other people get what they want first in life, then they will help you get what you want in life and join your vision. More simply put, if you add value to people, you will get all kinds of value returned in your life.

SUCCESS IN ADDING VALUE | MWM
https://youtu.be/iLnUiJr34G0
Pour Into Others = Success is sowing seeds that benefit others. As we are living our life, are we sowing seeds and adding value to others? By having an external focus and adding value to others, the return is far greater than you can ever imagine. But, you will only get this return if you give into others.
By Adding Value to Others, You'll Find Success! = As you are living your life, are you sowing seeds that benefit others? Are you adding value to others? Are you making others feel better? If you help others, add value to others, and are intentional with others, then there will be more that will come back to you—success—as you continue to pour into others. The seeds you sow give back to you. You’ll always find success in adding value to others.

Always Value Others = It is important to value people, because people are valuable. When you value people, you add value to them. The more you value others, the more you add value to them, and the more you add value to the world.

Value, Believe, and Love People = Each day, do what you can to make a day better for someone else, to lift them, to love them, and to pour into them. Make sure you contribute in a positive way to each person you meet and talk to—make them feel valued. When you value people, believe in people, and unconditionally love people, you will be surrounded by people who know they are valued.

Parenting Quotes

Quotes About Parents

  • Raising kids with strong character requires doing less FOR them and teaching them to do more for themselves.

==================
Parenting with Purpose (5-part Series)

Your Advantage When Times are Tough | MWM
#Attitude Is The Difference Maker = This week, John Maxwell will share 5 important things to teach your children when parenting with purpose. Parenting with purpose is about leading your children correctly without overcorrecting them. The first focus is attitude. It is important to stress the importance of a good attitude with your children. People with good attitudes—who have a positive attitude during negative times—will do better in life. Life is tough! People who want to succeed should have an attitude of tenacity to overcome life’s difficulties!

#Responsible Kids Become Mature Adults | MWM
Take Ownership = The second way to parent with purpose is to teach responsibility. We all need to learn to take ownership of our mistakes or actions and not place blame on others. Instead of saying “sorry,” say “I’m sorry.” Teach your children to be responsible and take ownership. When we teach responsibility to our children, it leads to their development into mature adults.

People Make Your Potential Possible | MWM
Connect With People = The third way to parent with purpose is to focus on relationships and the ability to get along with people. It is important to be good at connecting and relating to other people because the world is composed of people. This ability determines how much others like you and help you. Teach your children how to connect and relate with other people. Relationships are a key to success.

The One Thing That Determines Everything Else | MWM
Discover Your Strengths = You can parent with purpose by helping your child with their self-image. Self-image determines the friends someone hangs around with and even who they marry. The way a person sees others is influenced by how they see themselves. Having a low self-image can hold a person back because they can’t see themselves accomplishing a difficult, worthwhile goal. Help your kids see themselves well, and discover their own strengths. When they pursue those strengths to achieve and experience their own wins, it will build up their self-image.
#Self-image

Train Them Up in the Way They Should Go | MWM
Be God-Centered = You can parent with purpose by teaching your children faith. Show your children how to have a good relationship with God and to know and communicate with Him. As parents we have to be an example of this. Share with your children what God is doing in your life and how he leads you. Be God centered so that your children can see that every good and perfect gift comes from God.
#Faith

Reach Your Potential by Reaching People | MWM
A Key To Success = The third way to parent with purpose is to focus on #relationships and the ability to get along with people. It is important to be good at connecting and relating to other people because the world is composed of people. This ability determines how much others like you and help you. Teach your children how to connect and relate with other people. Relationships are a key to success.

Self-Image Sets the Bar | MWM
Pursue Strengths And Win = The fourth way to parent with purpose is to help your children with their self-image.

Set a Solid Foundation for Your Children | MWM
Be God-Centered = The fifth way to parent with purpose is to teach your children faith. Show your children how to have a good relationship with God and to know and communicate with Him.  As parents, we have to be an example of this. Share with your children what God is doing in your life and how he leads you. Be God-centered so that your children can see that every good and perfect gift comes from God.

The Power of Taking Responsibility | MWM
Own Your Actions = The second way to parent with purpose is to teach responsibility. We all need to learn to take ownership of our mistakes or actions and not place blame on others. Instead of saying “sorry,” say “I’m sorry.” Teach your children to be responsible and take ownership. Attitude Is The Difference Maker = By parenting with a purpose, you can be the parent that looks at your children and asks how to invest in them correctly without overcorrecting them and majoring on the minor things in life. Focusing on attitude. A good attitude leads to a better life. It is important to have a positive attitude during difficult times. If you are going to succeed in life, you need to have the attitude of tenacity to overcome the difficulties that everyone experiences. Attitude is the difference maker.

Always Take Responsibility = It is important for all people to have a sense of responsibility or to take ownership of their life. You will never do well in life until you take responsibility for your life—for your choices, for who you are, for what you do, for your actions. Take responsibility for the things that happen to you.

https://youtu.be/kBBEqjTwdwM
Connect, Be Relatable = The ability to get along with people and relate to them is a key part in being successful. By learning to connect with people and relate with people your life will be able to reach its full potential. The world is full of people—the way you connect to them will determine how well they like you, and how much they are willing to help you. Connect, and be relatable.

Your Self-Image Determines Your Behavior = You need to allow yourself to see yourself well. If you see yourself as a 5 out 10, then who you surround yourself with will also be in that category, and you won't go after the 8's, 9's, and 10's. Your self-image determines who you are around, even who you marry. Your behavior is not based on how you see other people, how you see a job, or how you see others—it's entirely based on how you see yourself.

https://youtu.be/Z84cuvW3UV4
Have Faith = It is important for us to have a good relationship with God and to know Him, to be able to communicate with Him, and have a sense of Him working and living in our lives. We have to be that example. He is the source. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him.
