Dinah Maria Mulock Craik was one of the most successful women poets and novelists of the 19th century. She published her first work, “The Ogilvies,” in 1849 to critical acclaim, and soon garnered comparison to such influential writers as George Eliot. “The Ogilvies,” in which this quote appears, follows the romantic entanglements and subsequent marriages of three cousins (a popular 19th-century literary convention, as Jane Austen proved decades earlier). Craik’s words offer a timeless truism about love’s cyclical nature — that the care and compassion we give others, we’ll receive in kind.
Lead With Love = So many people don’t know what love is. In Greek, there are words for 4 different types of love—romantic love, brotherly love, and the love between a parent and child. The 4th word for love—the type that represents a leadership principle—is Agape. This type of love is a verb, how you behave, not how you feel. Love is patient, kind, trusting, truthful, forgiving, unselfish, and it is dedicated to love in all circumstances. If you want to be a better servant leader, lead with love.
Love Unconditionally = No matter what happens in life, having someone who will listen to you and love you, is unconditional love. Unconditional love is having someone you can go to and say anything to, and they will always love you. Nothing can replace unconditional love. Do You Love Unconditionally? = When you love unconditionally, the impact and influence can be tremendous. When you love, and are loved unconditionally, no matter what you say or do, you will always be loved. Nothing can replace unconditional love.
There Is Value In Loving People = John shares with us that we need to love people, indicating that all of his previous lessons from his father are products of loving people. By adding value to people, traveling the high road, and encouraging others—all of these lessons are rooted in loving people.
It's Always About Others = When you stop loving your people, you have essentially concluded your ability to effectively lead them. While it is important to lead with authenticity, so your people believe in you, it is far more important for you to believe in your people. Your leadership depends on it. Without it, you might as well quit.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Build A Routine = There are routines in writing—a proper way to write. Routines can vary based on personality. John Maxwell’s writing routine factors in 3 things:
1) Write early in the morning (uninterrupted and able to focus)
2) Write each page with the question, “Will the reader turn the page?”
3) Look at the page and ask “Do I live what I write?”
When you hear the word “routine,” you might think of the same old thing every day. You might even feel trapped by a routine that hasn’t been working well for you. But establishing a routine doesn’t mean you have to ditch the creativity. If you use a routine for security, you will become stagnant, even bored. But when you develop a routine for increased productivity, that just means you can get to where your wandering heart wants to take you faster.
Scriptures 2 Chronicles 24:11 Whenever the Levites brought the chest to the royal accountant and they saw there was a lot of silver, the royal scribe and the accountant of the high priest emptied the chest and then took it back to its place. They went through this routine every day and collected a large amount of silver.
Acts 17:2 ESV And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Charismatic Leaders Put Their Focus On Others = What you put your focus on expands, and what you put behind you shrinks. Charismatic people put their focus on others. The moment we put our focus on others, the others expand in our mind and in our hearts, in turn, expand in your life.
In his newest book, The Charismatic Leader, John C. Maxwell shares 21 practical skills to help you connect authentically, communicate effectively, and lead with greater impact. Whether you lead a team, speak on stage, or mentor one-on-one — this book equips you to win hearts and move people.
Focus On Others = Charisma is not a personality, it is a mindset. People who focus only on themselves lack charisma. You will develop charisma when you put other people first in your life.
Philippians 2:12 So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed [my instructions with enthusiasm], not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ].
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you are doing, work at it with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not for people,
2 Corinthians 7:11 See what great earnestness godly sorrow has produced in you! How ready you are to clear yourselves, how indignant, how alarmed, how full of longing and enthusiasm, how eager to seek justice! In every way you have demonstrated that you are innocent in this matter.
